SUMMARY:Back to school program and the orphanage home visit and the medication outreach
DESCRIPTION:On the 18th\, the NewBec Empowerment Foundation carried out a series of impactful initiatives that touched lives across different communities. \nThe day began with our Back-to-School Program\, where schoolchildren received essential supplies such as notebooks\, writing materials\, school bags\, and uniforms. This initiative was designed to ease the financial burden on parents while ensuring that children return to school motivated\, confident\, and fully equipped to pursue their education without hindrance. \nFollowing this\, the team proceeded to an Orphanage Home Visit\, spending quality time with the children\, sharing meals\, and donating vital resources including food items\, clothing\, and hygiene products. Beyond material support\, the visit was also about offering companionship\, encouragement\, and the assurance that they are not forgotten but deeply valued members of society. \nThe day concluded with a Medication Outreach\, where community members received free medical consultations\, basic treatments\, and essential drugs. Our volunteer health professionals were on ground to conduct health checks\, offer advice on preventive care\, and provide immediate medical relief to those who otherwise lack easy access to healthcare services. \nAltogether\, the 18th was a day of education\, compassion\, and healing—a true reflection of NewBec Foundation’s mission to empower\, uplift\, and restore hope across multiple facets of community life.

SUMMARY:NewBec Empowerment Foundation Pays Courtesy Visit to NSCDC Edo State Command to Strengthen Partnership
DESCRIPTION:In a significant move to deepen collaboration and enhance community-based interventions\, the NewBec Empowerment Foundation recently paid a courtesy visit to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Edo State Command. The visit was aimed at fostering mutual understanding\, exploring areas of synergy\, and strengthening the strategic partnership between both entities in the collective effort to promote security\, empowerment\, and sustainable development across Edo State. \nLed by its executive leadership\, the NewBec Empowerment Foundation delegation was warmly received by the Commandant and senior officers of the NSCDC. During the visit\, discussions centered around cooperative efforts in youth empowerment\, protection of vulnerable groups\, promotion of community safety initiatives\, and support for rehabilitative programs for at-risk individuals. \nThe Foundation\, known for its impactful work in areas such as skills acquisition\, women and youth empowerment\, advocacy against gender-based violence\, and support for marginalized communities\, acknowledged the pivotal role the NSCDC plays in maintaining civil order and protecting lives and property. \nIn her remarks\, the leadership of NewBec expressed gratitude to the NSCDC for its continued commitment to peace and security\, while emphasizing the need for multi-sectoral collaboration in addressing the socio-economic challenges facing many Nigerian communities. She noted that true national progress can only be achieved when security agencies and civil society organizations work hand-in-hand to address both the root causes of insecurity and the barriers to social inclusion. \nThe Commandant\, in response\, commended NewBec Empowerment Foundation for its proactive and consistent support to grassroots development. He reaffirmed the NSCDC’s readiness to collaborate on joint initiatives that aim to promote peace education\, youth engagement\, gender equality\, and social rehabilitation programs\, especially within rural and underserved areas. \nThe visit concluded with a renewed commitment from both parties to formalize their partnership through joint projects\, community outreach activities\, and stakeholder dialogues\, aimed at building a safer and more empowered society.

SUMMARY:Awareness Campaign For Drugs\, Cultism & Human Trafficking
DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, 20th June 2025\, the NewBec Empowerment Foundation was privileged to connect with the vibrant students of Our Lady of Mercy\, Dawson Road\, Benin City for a transformative Awareness Campaign. \nTopic: Say No to Drugs\, Cultism & Human Trafficking \nThe session was a powerful moment of learning\, reflection\, and awakening. Our speakers engaged students in heartfelt conversations around the dangers of drug abuse\, the destructive influence of cultism\, and the tragic realities of human trafficking. \nUsing real-life stories\, thought-provoking dialogue\, and practical guidance\, the team created a safe space where students asked questions\, shared thoughts\, and made strong commitments to stay on the right path. \nIt was more than just a campaign—it was a movement of hope and awareness. \nWe’re thrilled by the energy\, openness\, and enthusiasm of the students. Their willingness to listen\, learn\, and lead change was truly inspiring. \nTogether\, we are building a future where our youth can thrive\, free from fear\, exploitation\, and negative influences. \nWe extend our deepest gratitude to the school authorities\, volunteers\, and supporters who helped make this campaign a success.
