SUMMARY:SOS Children’s Village Partners with NewBec Empowerment Foundation to Host Community Forum at Edo Innovation Hub
DESCRIPTION:In a joint effort to strengthen community engagement and promote child welfare\, SOS Children’s Village\, an international non-governmental organization\, in collaboration with the NewBec Empowerment Foundation\, will host a Community Forum tomorrow\, Friday\, October 3\, 2025\, at the Edo Innovation Hub\, ICE Road\, off Wire Road\, Benin City. \nThe forum seeks to foster dialogue and partnership among key community stakeholders on issues affecting children\, families\, and grassroots development. This initiative is part of SOS Children’s Village’s ongoing commitment to empowering communities and building strong support systems for children and families. \nNewBec Empowerment Foundation has been tasked with mobilizing 25 representatives from the Ihogbe community to participate in the program. Expected attendees include: \nTraditional Leaders and Council Members \nCommunity Development and Welfare Association Leaders \nReligious Leaders (Christians and Muslims) \nWomen Leaders \nYouth Leaders \nMarket Women Group Leaders \nHealth Workers \nPrincipals\, Headmasters\, and Teachers from Public Schools \nPTA Leaders \nMembers of Community Security Networks \nWard Councilors According to Usunobun Newton Unoko\, Founder of NewBec Empowerment Foundation\, “NewBec is proud to stand among NGOs helping communities take ownership of child welfare and development. By engaging community leaders directly\, we can drive sustainable solutions that truly impact lives.” \nThe event promises to be an enriching session centered on partnership\, awareness\, and collective responsibility for creating a safer and more supportive environment for children and families.
