DESCRIPTION:NEWBEC EMPOWERMENT FOUNDATION SUPPORTS OVER 500 CHILDREN THROUGH BACK-TO-SCHOOL INITIATIVE IN EDO STATE \nBenin City\, Edo State — 10 September 2026 \nAs schools across Nigeria\, including Edo State\, resume for the new academic session\, NewBec Empowerment Foundation has supported over 500 children through its Back-to-School Support Programme\, organised over the weekend as part of the Foundation’s commitment to giving back to society and promoting access to education. \nThe initiative provided essential educational support to children\, particularly those from vulnerable and less-privileged backgrounds\, helping them return to school with greater confidence\, dignity and hope. \nSpeaking on the programme\, Comrade Usunobun Newton Unoko\, Founder of NewBec Empowerment Foundation\, expressed concern about the educational needs of children and called for greater collective investment in their future. \n“I am deeply concerned about the educational needs of our children because they are the future of our society. Education is the key to unlocking opportunities\, reducing poverty and building a better and more responsible society. Every child deserves the opportunity to receive quality education and develop their potential to the fullest.” \nHe added: \n“At NewBec\, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn\, grow and succeed. Supporting over 500 children through this Back-to-School initiative is our modest contribution towards ensuring that financial challenges do not stand in the way of a child’s education. When we invest in our children today\, we are investing in the future of our communities and our nation.” \nThe Founder further called on government institutions\, corporate organisations\, development partners\, philanthropists and well-meaning individuals to support initiatives that improve access to education and create better opportunities for children. \nNewBec Empowerment Foundation appreciates its Board of Trustees\, members\, volunteers\, supporters and partners for their dedication and contributions towards making the initiative a success. \nThe Foundation remains committed to expanding its interventions in education and skills development\, healthcare\, youth and women empowerment\, social welfare\, economic empowerment and community development across Edo State and beyond. \nABOUT NEWBEC EMPOWERMENT FOUNDATION \nNewBec Empowerment Foundation is a community-focused organisation committed to Service to Humanity\, Giving Back to the Community\, Touching Lives and Building Hope. \nThe Foundation believes that every child deserves the opportunity to learn\, develop and build a brighter future\, while communities deserve sustainable programmes that create meaningful and lasting impact. \nMEDIA & ENQUIRIES \nNewBec Empowerment Foundation\n101 Uselu Lagos Road\, Opp. Tom Line\,\nBenin City\, Edo State\, Nigeria \n📞 +234 913 623 3915 | +44 774 307 7511\n📧 info@newbecfoundation.org\n🌐 www.newbecfoundation.org
